1. Who controls your data

3. How long we keep it
Booking records: 7 years (Japanese tax and accounting requirements). Photographs: 2 years unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Health information: deleted within 30 days of your tour. Enquiries that do not become bookings: 12 months.
4. Who we share it with
Only with the crew delivering your tour (photographer, drivers, coordinator), our payment processor (Stripe), and our online gallery provider. All are bound to confidentiality. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Transfers outside Japan
Our gallery and cloud storage providers may be located outside Japan (【provider name / country】). Where that is the case, your data is transferred to a third party in a foreign country under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and we will tell you the country, the data protection framework in place there, and the measures the provider takes. By booking, you consent to that transfer.
6. Your photographs and marketing
We will not publish your photographs unless you sign a separate model release. That consent is optional, specific to the uses listed on the form, and can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us — we will remove the images from our own channels within 30 days, though we cannot recall material already reshared by others.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to disclose, correct, stop using, or delete your personal data. Write to hello@firstsnowniseko.com and we will respond within 14 days. If you are resident in the EU or UK, additional rights may apply under GDPR.
8. Cookies
We use only what is necessary to run the site, remember your language choice, and measure traffic. We do not use advertising cookies.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to crew who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you and the Personal Information Protection Commission as required by law.
